Everrise Trading PLC is a growing company engaged in construction, office interior fit-out, glass and aluminum works, and related trading services. We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and support our financial operations.The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily transactions, preparing financial reports, managing tax compliance, and ensuring proper documentation of all financial activities. The successful candidate must have practical experience using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Key Responsibilities • Record daily financial transactions accurately. • Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Perform bank reconciliations. • Prepare payroll and maintain payroll records. • Prepare and submit tax declarations in accordance with Ethiopian tax regulations. • Monitor project expenses and prepare cost reports. • Maintain fixed asset registers. • Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, invoices, and journal entries. • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash forecasts. • Assist with budgeting and financial planning. • Support internal and external audits. • Maintain proper filing of financial documents. • Prepare management reports and financial analyses using Microsoft Excel. • Perform any other accounting duties assigned by management. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience. • Experience in the construction or trading sector is an advantage. • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and accounting standards. Required Skills • Proficiency in accounting software (such as Peachtree/Sage 50, QuickBooks, Odoo, or similar ERP systems). • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including: • Pivot Tables • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP • IF formulas • SUMIFS • Financial reporting • Data analysis • Charts and dashboards • Excellent computer skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Good organizational and time-management skills. • Ability to work independently and under pressure. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • High integrity and confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications • Experience preparing financial statements. • Experience managing project accounting and cost control. • Experience working with ERP systems. • Professional certifications are an advantage.
