Job Summary The Architect & Cut List Designer is responsible for transforming client requirements, concepts, and design ideas into accurate production drawings and detailed cut lists for manufacturing. The role bridges the gap between design and production by ensuring that every project is properly designed, optimized for manufacturing, and supported with precise material calculations and cutting schedules. The ideal candidate combines creative design skills with strong technical and production-planning capabilities. Key Responsibilities • Design Development - Create 2D and 3D designs based on client requirements and project specifications. • Technical Drawing Preparation • Cut List & Material Planning • Production Coordination • Quality Control • Documentation & Project Management Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Furniture Design Experience Minimum 1–2 years of experience in furniture design, architectural drafting, woodworking production, or a related industry. Experience preparing production drawings and cut lists is highly preferred. Technical Skills • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Cabinet Vision, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar design software. • Strong understanding of woodworking, furniture construction, and manufacturing processes. • Ability to prepare accurate cut lists and material estimates. • Knowledge of production planning and material optimization techniques. • Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
