Commercial Finance Manager Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Commercial Finance Manager to join our growing Finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making by providing financial insights, business analysis, and performance management across the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial finance within the technology, software, fintech, or financial services sector. Key Responsibilities • Provide strategic financial insights to support key commercial decisions, including product pricing, customer acquisition strategies, market expansion initiatives, and new service offerings. • Act as a trusted business partner to senior management by delivering data-driven recommendations that align financial objectives with overall business strategy. • Partner with Product, Sales, Technology, Operations, and Customer Success teams to evaluate business performance and support growth initiatives. • Support the development and evaluation of strategic partnerships, business expansion opportunities, and new technology investments. • Lead the preparation of detailed financial and management reports, providing insights into revenue performance, operating costs, profitability, customer acquisition costs, and key business metrics. • Analyze financial and operational KPIs to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for business improvement. • Provide financial support for major initiatives such as software product launches, platform enhancements, digital transformation projects, and market expansion activities. • Lead the annual budgeting process and coordinate with department heads to develop realistic and strategic financial plans. • Assess the financial viability of strategic initiatives and provide recommendations based on projected returns and risks. • Monitor revenue streams, subscription models, transaction-based revenues, and customer profitability. • Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability. • Support pricing strategy reviews and margin improvement initiatives. • Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, and liquidity planning to ensure financial stability. • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective internal controls. • Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members through coaching, performance management, and professional development initiatives. • Foster a collaborative, high-performing, and customer-focused finance culture. Job Requirements Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. • ACCA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred. Required Skills • Strong financial analysis, business modeling, and commercial decision-support capabilities. • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. • Experience analyzing SaaS, subscription-based, fintech, digital payment, or financial service business models is highly advantageous. • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to build effective relationships across technical and non-technical teams. • Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail. Experience • Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in Commercial Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Business Finance, or Strategic Finance roles. • Experience within software development companies, technology firms, fintech organizations, digital platforms, telecommunications companies, banks, insurance companies, microfinance institutions, or other financial services organizations is highly desirable.
