Position: EV Charging Station Technician Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; OR Diploma/Level IV in a related technical field with a minimum of 4 years of experience. Knowledge of EV charging systems and electrical equipment. • Ability to monitor charger performance and diagnose basic technical issues. • Understanding of electrical safety procedures and standards. • Knowledge of EV charging software and reporting systems. • Strong customer service and communication skills. • Traffic and parking management capability. • Record-keeping and reporting skills. • Ability to respond effectively to operational emergencies and equipment faults. • Basic digital system proficiency. Responsibilities: • Operate and monitor EV charging stations to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. • Oversee the health and operational status of charging equipment and related infrastructure. • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance checks on chargers. • Identify, troubleshoot, and report charger faults and coordinate corrective maintenance activities. • Manage daily charging operations, including charger allocation and customer support. • Monitor charger utilization and prepare operational reports. • Direct and manage vehicle traffic flow within the charging station to ensure safety and efficiency. • Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and environmental procedures. • Maintain accurate records of charging sessions, equipment performance, incidents, and maintenance activities. • Coordinate with utility providers and management to ensure smooth station operation. • Assist customers with charging procedures and address service-related inquiries. • Ensure cleanliness, security, and proper functioning of the charging station facilities. • Verify and ensure that charging service payments are successfully completed through the approved payment methods, confirm transaction completion with customers, and provide payment-related assistance when required.
