We're looking for an experienced Creative Director to lead our creative vision and help shape the next generation of storytelling in Ethiopia and beyond. Position Summary The Creative Director is responsible for leading the creative direction of the studio, developing compelling ideas and campaigns, and ensuring excellence across every creative output. Working closely with the Managing Director, Production, Technology, and Client Growth teams, the Creative Director will transform client briefs into strategic, engaging, and memorable creative solutions. Key Responsibilities Creative Leadership • Lead the creative vision and maintain the studio's creative standards. • Develop innovative concepts, campaigns, and storytelling approaches. • Guide creative direction from concept through final delivery. • Ensure consistency across all projects and client brands. Strategy & Concept Development • Translate client objectives into creative solutions. • Lead brainstorming sessions and creative workshops. • Develop campaign concepts, scripts, treatments, and presentations. • Research trends in branding, storytelling, technology, and digital experiences. Team Leadership • Mentor and inspire writers, designers, directors, editors, and creative freelancers. • Foster a collaborative and innovative creative culture. Client Collaboration • Participate in client discovery meetings and presentations. • Present creative concepts with confidence and clarity. • Build trusted relationships with clients throughout the creative process. Quality Assurance • Review and approve creative work before client delivery. • Ensure every project meets Next Studio's creative standards. • Balance creativity with business objectives and production realities. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Design, Film, Marketing, or a related field. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a creative leadership role. • Experience in advertising agencies, creative studios, media, or production companies. • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and campaign development. • Excellent presentation, storytelling, and communication skills. Preferred Skills • Experience in branding and integrated campaign development. • Strong understanding of film production and visual storytelling. • Knowledge of digital content, social media, and interactive experiences. • Scriptwriting and creative copywriting experience. • Experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams.
