Role Overview The Drafting Technician plays a key role in translating design concepts into well-coordinated, high-quality technical documentation. This position supports the design team across all project stages, ensuring that design intent is accurately developed, detailed, and communicated in line with LOFT’s standards. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, coordination ability, and design sensitivity. Key Responsibilities Technical Documentation & Detailing · Develop comprehensive architectural and interior drawing packages (plans, sections, elevations, detailed drawings, and joinery details) · Translate design concepts into coordinated and buildable technical documentation · Prepare detailed construction drawings aligned with materials, specifications, and project requirements · Review and update drawings based on internal and external feedback · Support the design team from concept through detailed design · Contribute to space planning refinement and technical resolution of design elements · Assist in material and finishes documentation to ensure alignment with design intent · Coordinate drawings across disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP, and interiors) · Integrate consultant inputs and resolve clashes in coordination with the design team · Respond to markups and ensure timely updates of drawing sets Qualifications & Requirements · Degree or Diploma in Drafting Technician or related field · 3–6 years of relevant experience as a Drafting Technician. · Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); Revit and SketchUp are highly preferred · Solid understanding of construction detailing, materials, and finishes · Familiarity with visualization tools (Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray, etc.) is an advantage · Works independently on assigned drawing packages with minimal supervision
