SewaSew Academy SewaSew Academy is a communication-first English language school dedicated to empowering Ethiopian learners to achieve their personal and professional goals through high-quality, technology-driven English education. We are currently recruiting four teachers across Senior and Associate levels to join our teaching team and contribute to an initial curriculum materials development project. Key Responsibilities Teaching (Primary and Ongoing) • Deliver English language sessions using SewaSew's communicative, learner-centred methodology (CLT/TBL) • Prepare lessons using the academy's Teacher's Guide and Student Book • Conduct ongoing student assessment and maintain accurate progress records • Foster a psychologically safe, confidence-building classroom environment • Participate in team meetings, peer observations, and professional development sessions Materials Development (Project Duration Only — Additional to Teaching) • Contribute to one of the following project roles based on selection: Teacher's Guide Writing, Student Book Development, or Assessment Development materials aligned with the academy’s philosophy based on the Material development plan and guidance offered by the Academy. Qualifications • Degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or related field (Highly recommended but not mandatory) • Demonstrated English teaching experience in a communicative or CLT-based environment • Advanced level teaching experience required for Senior positions (C1–C2) • Fluency with Technology and e-learning especially, Zoom, AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent) is required for materials development roles Skills and Competencies • Effective communication skills • Active learning and growth mindset • Excellent spoken and written English • Strong understanding of communicative language teaching principles • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently • Openness to feedback and commitment to professional growth • Collaborative, reliable, and values-driven Please read the job description carefully and apply only if you meet all the requirements !!!
