As we scale, we are looking for our first dedicated Finance & Accounting Manager to establish our financial systems, lead our accounting functions, and eventually build out a broader finance team. Position Overview This role blends hands-on financial management with strategic oversight. You will design and manage scalable internal controls, oversee project cost tracking, manage real estate sales receivables, and ensure full compliance with local financial regulations. Key Responsibilities Financial Management: Establish and run the company’s accounting systems, prepare financial statements, manage cash flow, and handle month-end/year-end closing. Project & Commercial Operations: Track construction budgets, monitor contractor payments, analyze project profitability, and collaborate with engineering and procurement teams. Sales & Receivables: Oversee customer sales contracts, installment schedules, outstanding balances, and financial verification before unit handovers. Compliance & Growth: Manage annual budgeting, coordinate external audits, ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, and lay the groundwork to hire and train a future finance team.| Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or CMA) is a plus. Experience: 5+ years of finance experience, with a proven track record specifically within the Ethiopian real estate or construction sector. Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills, experience with ERP/accounting software, and a deep understanding of local Ethiopian tax regulations.
