ED envisions a future where women, children, and marginalized communities, including Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), migrants and refugees, have equitable access to essential services and opportunities for empowerment. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Officer to join our team in Afar, Semera. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project finances, ensuring compliance with organizational and donor requirements, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the efficient utilization of resources for humanitarian and development programs. Key Responsibilities • Maintain accurate and timely financial records for all project and operational expenditures. • Process payments, advances, liquidations, and bank transactions in accordance with ED financial policies and procedures. • Prepare monthly financial reports, budget monitoring reports, and cash forecasts. • Support budget preparation, revisions, and expenditure tracking for projects and organizational operations. • Ensure compliance with donor regulations, government requirements, and internal financial controls. • Conduct bank and cash reconciliations and maintain proper supporting documentation. • Verify financial documents and ensure completeness, accuracy, and authorization before processing. • Support procurement and logistics teams by reviewing financial aspects of procurement transactions. • Assist in the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits. • Maintain organized filing systems for financial records and supporting documents. • Provide financial guidance and support to program staff to ensure proper budget utilization and compliance.
