Key Responsibilities • Design Concept & Visualization: • Conceptualize and create innovative furniture designs (residential, commercial, or custom office solutions) based on client requirements and modern trends. • Develop 2D technical drawings, 3D models, and realistic renderings using design software. . • Production & Technical Documentation: • Translate initial design concepts into detailed manufacturing specifications, including cut lists, material selection, hardware specs, and joinery details. • Prepare documentation for workshop teams, including assembly guides and dimensional blueprints. . • Workshop & Material Collaboration: • Work closely with production managers, carpenters, and finishing/color department supervisors to ensure design feasibility and efficient material utilization. • Assist in prototype development, quality testing, and modifying existing designs for better functionality and cost reduction. . • Site Survey & Client Interaction: • Conduct on-site measurements and space planning evaluations when working on custom/bespoke orders. • Present design ideas and renders to clients, incorporate feedback, and address technical questions. . Requirements & Qualifications • Education: Diploma or BSc Degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Wood Technology, or a related field. • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of practical experience in furniture design, woodwork, or a furniture manufacturing environment. • Technical Skills: • Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, 3ds Max, or Adobe Creative Suite). • Strong knowledge of materials (solid wood, board products, metal, finishes, hardware) and furniture construction techniques. • Ability to accurately prepare raw material estimates and precise cutting lists. ts. • Soft Skills: Excellent spatial visual sense, problem-solving mindset, strong communication skills, and ability to meet project deadlines.
