Statement of the Purpose The position holder will be responsible for is responsible for driving the development of the capital market by creating an enabling environment and designing strategic frameworks that facilitate the use of IT. This role involves taking an active part in strategy formulation and ensuring effective implementation to promote investor education. The Head will conduct regular reviews of products, markets, market participants, and activities to assess progress and identify opportunities. Additionally, this position will enhance investor and public education by leveraging all available platforms and institutions to engage diverse demographic groups, including investors, market participants, and the general public. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: • Design and execute market development strategies that support the Authority's objectives. • Conduct in-depth research on product and issuers industry, forecast market conditions, and analyze stakeholder behaviors to provide insights for decision-making. • Review and assess existing products, markets, and market participants to identify risks and opportunities, while developing new products that enhance investor protection, market fairness, and efficiency. • Collect and analyze market data to derive actionable insights and prepare regular economic updates, internal briefings, and analyses related to the capital market. • Promote and implement capacity-building programs for the Authority's staff investors and market participants, ensuring effective education on the advantages and risks associated with capital markets. • Inform and educate the general public about capital markets through workshops, seminars, and collaboration relevant organs to integrate relevant content into school curriculums. • Organize stakeholder engagement events to disseminate targeted information and raise awareness through various media and social platforms. • Oversee the development, accreditation, and evaluation of training materials for market professionals, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and continuously update accreditation policies based on best practices and stakeholder feedback. • Qualification Requirements: • Master's Degree or Above in statistics, Economics, financial economics, public Policy or a field related to the Job function from an Accredited or recognized learning institution • 7 years of relevant experience out of which 2 years in a management or equivalent position. • Behavioral Competencies/Attributes: • Management skills • Industry expertise • Financial management • Project management • Strategic thinking • Leadership • Problem-solving and decision-making • Communication • Interpersonal skills • Adaptability
