The HR Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all human resource activities of the hypermarket. The role ensures effective recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, compliance with labor laws, and implementation of HR policies and procedures. The HR Manager supports business objectives by developing and maintaining a productive, motivated, and compliant workforce. Key Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment and Staffing Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified employees. Coordinate manpower planning and workforce requirements. Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job advertising, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding. Ensure timely filling of vacant positions. Employee Relations Promote positive employee relations and maintain a healthy work environment. Address employee grievances, disciplinary issues, and conflict resolution. Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate actions. Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies. Performance Management Develop and implement performance appraisal systems. Monitor employee performance and support managers in evaluating staff. Coordinate performance improvement plans where necessary. Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Training and Development Identify training needs and prepare annual training plans. Coordinate employee orientation and induction programs. Organize leadership, technical, and customer service training programs. Evaluate training effectiveness and employee development outcomes. Compensation and Benefits Administer salary structures, benefits, and incentive programs. Support payroll processes by ensuring accuracy of employee records. Conduct salary benchmarking and recommend compensation adjustments. Ensure compliance with company compensation policies. HR Administration Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases. Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and management reports. Monitor employee attendance, leave management, and disciplinary records. Ensure proper documentation of all HR activities. Compliance and Labor Relations Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies. Keep management informed of legal and regulatory changes. Coordinate labor inspections and audits when required. Ensure workplace health and safety compliance in collaboration with relevant departments. Organizational Development Participate in organizational structure reviews and workforce planning. Develop succession planning and talent management initiatives. Support change management and employee engagement programs. Foster a positive organizational culture. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's Degree is an advantage. Minimum of 5–8 years of HR experience, preferably in retail, supermarket, or hypermarket operations. At least 2–3 years in a managerial position. Required Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices. Excellent leadership and people management skills. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. Strong organizational and planning skills. Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office, and HR reporting tools.
