Job Title: Junior Accountant  Location: Jemo BS station and Showroom Reports to: Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager About Dodai Dodai Manufacturing Plc (Dodai), is a recently incorporated organization launched in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on August 01, 2023. Dodai is a fast growing organization with a mission of making e-mobility accessible to everyone in Africa through its innovative products and services. Dodai plans to provide brand new electric two wheelers by assembling them here in Addis Ababa and plans to expand to major regional cities in Ethiopia by the end of 2026.  Job Purpose: The Junior accountant will be responsible for supporting the financial and operational activities of a Dodai site by ensuring accurate recording of sales transactions, issuance of VAT receipts, verification of cash and digital collections, and timely reporting to the Finance Department. Will also be supporting both the showroom and battery swapping operations while ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, and tax regulations. Key Responsibilities: ● Verify and record all showroom and battery swapping sales transactions accurately and timely. ● Issue VAT receipts and ensure compliance with tax regulations and company procedures. ● Receive, verify, and reconcile cash, bank, mobile money, and other customer payments against daily sales records. ● Perform daily sales and collection reconciliations and promptly report any discrepancies. ● Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales and collection reports. ● Maintain accurate filing and documentation of receipts, invoices, vouchers, and supporting documents. ● Coordinate with site operations staff to ensure all transactions are properly recorded and supported. ● Support month-end closing activities and provide required information to the Finance Department. ● Ensure compliance with company financial policies, internal controls, and operational procedures. ● Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.. Qualifications and Skills: • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field • Fresh graduate or 6 months experience in cashiering, accounting, or financial operations is an advantage. • Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
