Position Details • Position: Junior Accountant • Location: Addis Ababa • Employment Type: Full-time • Salary: Attractive and negotiable based on qualifications, experience, and salary history • Application Deadline: June 25, 2026 Job Summary The Junior Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the company, including transaction processing, record keeping, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports. Key Responsibilities Accounting Operations • Record and process financial transactions accurately and timely. • Prepare payment vouchers, journal entries, and supporting documentation. • Maintain proper accounting records and filing systems. Reconciliation and Reporting • Assist in bank, cash, and account reconciliations. • Support the preparation of financial reports and schedules. • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Compliance and Documentation • Ensure transactions are supported by proper documentation. • Assist in tax, audit, and statutory reporting requirements. • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial information. Administrative Support • Support the finance team in routine accounting and administrative tasks. • Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial documentation and payments. Requirements Education • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Accounting and Finance, Finance, or a related field. Experience • 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience. • Experience in logistics, transport, trading, or a service-oriented company is an advantage. Skills • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. • Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage. • Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills. Personal Attributes • High level of integrity and attention to detail. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to learn quickly and work under deadlines.
