Junior accountants assist with day-to-day bookkeeping, financial record-keeping, and month-end closes. Specific responsibilities: • Computing and filing monthly taxes—including VAT , Withholding Tax , Pension Contributions , and Employment Income Tax. • Preparing cash payment/receiving vouchers (CPV/CRV), managing petty cash, and recording daily transactions into accounting systems like Peachtree . • Regularly reconciling bank statements, ledgers, and accounts to prevent discrepancies. • Assisting senior accountants in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Organizing and filing financial documents (receipts, invoices) to ensure smooth internal and external audits.
