Job Description: Junior Financial Analyst Job Summary The Junior Financial Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data, preparing internal and external reports, and assisting senior analysts with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. This entry-level role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong quantitative skills who is eager to build a career in corporate finance. Key Responsibilities • Data Collection & Analysis: Retrieve, clean, and organize large datasets from various internal systems to identify financial trends and performance metrics. • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages, including profit and loss (P&L) analysis and cash flow tracking. • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the annual corporate budgeting process and help update rolling financial forecasting models. • Variance Analysis: Compare actual financial results against budgeted and forecasted projections, highlighting and investigating key variances. • Market & Competitor Research: Conduct research on industry trends, benchmark metrics, and macroeconomic factors impacting the business. • Ad-Hoc Projects: Provide analytical support for special projects, capital expenditure reviews, and corporate presentations as required. Qualifications & Requirements • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field. • Experience: 0–2 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate accounting, or a related field (relevant internships are highly valued). • Technical Skills: • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data models, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic financial modeling). • Familiarity with financial systems, ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a major plus. • Soft Skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. • Sharp attention to detail and accuracy. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present financial data clearly. • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
