About the Role E-Ethio credit system PLC is seeking a detail-oriented, energetic, and highly organized Junior HR Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our day-to-day HR operations, ensuring smooth employee lifecycle transitions, and maintaining compliance with company policies and local labor standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR professional. Key Responsibilities 1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, filtering applications, and scheduling interviews. • Coordinate the logistics of university graduate recruitment initiatives and entry-level talent sourcing. • Facilitate the structured 60-day onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they have the tools, access, and training schedules required to succeed from day one. 2. Personnel Administration & Compliance • Maintain up-to-date physical and digital employee files, ensuring strict confidentiality. • Assist in drafting official internal and external corporate correspondence, including employment agreements, confirmation letters, promotions, and administrative notices. • Support the tracking and documentation of employee leave (annual, sick,....) and return-to-work administrative processes. • Ensure all HR activities align with company policy frameworks and Ethiopian Labor Proclamation No. 1156/2019 . 3. Compensation & Performance Support • Collaborate with the Finance/Payroll department by providing timely data regarding staff changes, attendance, allowances, and salary updates. • Assist in tracking and documenting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for staff performance reviews and bonus matrices. 4. Employee Relations & General Support • Serve as an accessible first point of contact for routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures. • Assist management in maintaining a harmonious work environment by supporting employee engagement activities. Job Requirements & Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field. • Experience: 1 to 2 years of active experience in an HR assistant or officer role within a structured corporate environment. • Legal Knowledge: Solid foundational understanding of current Ethiopian labor laws and workplace compliance. • Skills: • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Amharic and English. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and a proven ability to handle sensitive information professionally. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple administrative deadlines simultaneously.
