Junior Structural Engineer Qualification: • B.Sc . Degree in Civil Engineering. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural design and analysis. • Knowledge of structural engineering principles, design codes, and construction standards. • Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering tools. Roles and Responsibilities Structural Design and Analysis • Assist in the analysis and design of reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures. • Perform structural calculations and prepare design reports in accordance with applicable codes and standards. • Develop structural models and conduct load analysis, including dead, live, wind, and seismic loads. Preparation of Engineering Drawings • Prepare and review structural drawings, details, and design documentation. • Coordinate with drafting teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of design drawings. • Ensure all drawings comply with project requirements and engineering standards. Technical Support • Support senior structural engineers in project planning, design development, and technical reviews. • Assist in resolving structural design issues and responding to technical queries from clients and construction teams. • Participate in value engineering and optimization of structural designs. Site Coordination and Inspections • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that construction works comply with approved structural drawings and specifications. • Monitor structural works and provide technical recommendations when required. • Prepare site observation reports and follow up on corrective actions. Quality Assurance and Compliance • Ensure designs comply with local and international building codes, regulations, and safety standards. • Participate in design reviews, quality checks, and technical audits. • Review material submittals and shop drawings related to structural works. Coordination with Project Teams • Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, geotechnical engineers, and other project stakeholders. • Participate in project meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary coordination efforts. • Support the timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables. Documentation and Reporting • Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design summaries, and project documentation. • Maintain organized records of design files, revisions, and project correspondence. • Assist in preparing progress reports and project updates.
