Job Description Role Overview We are looking for a Junior Video Editor who is talented, serious, teachable, and ready to grow into a high-quality video editor. This role is for someone who already understands basic video editing and wants to improve in short-form content, motion graphics, color design, color grading, and brand-focused editing. The Junior Video Editor will support the Senior Video Editor and creative team by editing short videos, preparing assets, adding subtitles, creating simple motion graphics, organizing files, and completing assigned video tasks quickly and properly. Monthly Workload The Junior Video Editor will support the production of up to 30 short-form videos per month , depending on the content schedule and team needs. The Junior Editor may work on: Basic short-form edits Subtitle edits Cutdowns from long videos Simple motion graphics Social media reels Draft edits for review Revisions and formatting Exporting videos for different platforms Key Responsibilities The Junior Video Editor will: Edit short-form videos based on direction from the Senior Editor or creative lead. Cut raw footage into clear, clean, and engaging short videos. Add subtitles, captions, text animation, and simple motion graphics. Support with color correction and basic color grading. Format videos for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and X. Add music, sound effects, and basic sound cleanup. Prepare draft edits for review. Make revisions quickly and carefully. Organize footage, project files, assets, and exports. Follow brand guidelines and editing instructions. Learn design psychology, pacing, retention editing, and visual storytelling. Support the Senior Video Editor with production tasks. Help maintain fast delivery without reducing quality. Required Skills The candidate should have basic to intermediate knowledge of: Short-form video editing Captions and subtitles Basic motion graphics Basic color correction Social media video formats Video pacing and timing Sound syncing File organization Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools After Effects knowledge is a plus DaVinci Resolve knowledge is a plus Experience Required Minimum 6 months to 2 years of video editing experience. Must have examples of edited videos. Agency, social media, content creation, or brand editing experience is a plus. Strong willingness to learn and improve is required. Test Task Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a short test edit to evaluate editing basics, subtitle quality, pacing, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.
