NAA Chartered Certified Auditors and Accountants is looking for fresh graduate Audit Trainee to join our dynamic team, contributing to the planning, execution, and reporting phases of audit engagements across diverse client portfolios, ensuring compliance with professional standards and delivering high-quality audit services. Position: Audit Trainee Education and Experience • Fresh graduate with BA in Accounting or Accounting and Finance (only consider 2026 graduate students), • The candidate should pass exit exam to apply. • CGPA 3 and above. • Knowledge of accounting principles. • Able to work multiple tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines. • Team spirit/working in a team. • Interpersonal communication and negotiations skills. • Computer skills including the ability to operate spreadsheets and word-processing programs. • Disciplined, organized. • Open-minded, self-learner. An audit trainee is an entry-level position where you assist senior auditors with financial and operational reviews. Core duties include preparing audit documentation (workpapers), performing substantive tests on client accounts, testing internal controls, and analyzing financial data. As a trainee, your primary focus is developing a strong foundational understanding of auditing standards while balancing daily fieldwork. Major roles and responsibilities • Compile, organize, and document clear audit files for review by senior team members. • Team Assistance: Participate in audit planning meetings, attend site visits, and handle administrative or ad-hoc tasks as directed by your engagement manager • Data Requests: Liaise with client accounting teams to request, gather, and organize the necessary financial records. • Inventory stocktakes: Attend physical counts at client sites to verify tangible asset existence • Substantive Testing: Verify the accuracy of client transactions, ledger balances, and supporting documents (e.g., invoices, bank statements). • Internal Controls: Test a company’s internal accounting procedures to ensure they are designed and operating effectively to prevent fraud • Manage your own daily activities assigned to assist the Audit Senior during an engagement, • Communicates identified issues with Audit Senior or Manager to ensure any concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner. • Ensure adherence at all times to all applicable department procedures and professional standards • Building professional relationships with clients and related third parties • Ensure adequate focus on personal professional growth relevant to taking on more challenging assignments, in line with standard audit career progression – proactively seeks relevant education and training opportunities • Performs other related and ad hoc duties as assigned Location: Addis Ababa Deadline: July 24, 2026 How To Apply Applicants must apply by sending their CV, experience letters, and academic credentials to info@naa.com.et and copying: nigatu@naa.com.et within seven calendar days following this advertisement, indicating the position you are applying in the subject line section of the email For any additional information, please call to us: +251-911077709/++251-963222228
