Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Odoo ERP Implementation Lead to take ownership of the implementation of Odoo for a project-based business with complex operational workflows. The ideal candidate should have strong experience implementing Odoo in businesses such as construction, engineering, contracting, manufacturing, equipment supply, or project services , where project execution, procurement, inventory, finance, approvals, and reporting need to work together smoothly. This role requires someone who can understand business operations, translate them into practical Odoo workflows, lead the implementation, manage internal users and technical developers, and ensure the system is implemented in a simple, scalable, and efficient way. Key Responsibilities • Lead the full Odoo implementation from discovery to go-live. • Review existing business processes and define practical improvements before implementation. • Map current and future workflows. • Configure and implement Odoo based on agreed business requirements. • Decide what should be handled through standard Odoo, configuration, customization, or integration. • Lead the design of project-based workflows, including project costing, procurement, inventory, approvals, finance, and reporting. • Manage coordination between management, department users, technical developers, and any external vendors. • Lead data migration planning, testing, validation, and cutover. • Prepare and lead user acceptance testing scenarios. • Train key users and drive user adoption. • Lead go-live planning, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization. • Document key workflows, decisions, configurations, and user procedures. • Own the implementation roadmap, timeline, issue log, and delivery progress reporting. Required Experience • Strong hands-on experience leading and implementing Odoo ERP projects. • Experience implementing Odoo in project-based or contract-based companies . • Prior experience in industries such as construction, engineering, contracting, manufacturing, equipment supply, or service/project delivery is strongly preferred. • Good understanding of project costing, procurement, inventory, accounting, approvals, and reporting workflows. • Experience with Odoo configuration, customization coordination, data migration, testing, training, and go-live. • Ability to manage both business users and technical developers. • Strong communication, documentation, and project leadership skills. Preferred Skills • Experience with Odoo Accounting, Project, Purchase, Inventory, CRM/Sales, Timesheets, Expenses, and Approvals. • Understanding of analytic accounting and project profitability reporting. • Experience leading ERP implementation in organizations with manual or Excel-based processes. • Ability to simplify complex workflows and avoid unnecessary customization. • Experience integrating Odoo with existing systems or external tools. • Odoo certification is an advantage. Engagement Type • Contract / project-based role • Duration to be agreed based on implementation scope • Full-time or part-time arrangement may be considered Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is not only an Odoo technical consultant, but someone who can own and lead the implementation from start to finish . They should understand how project-based businesses operate, be practical and process-oriented, and be able to implement Odoo in a way that improves efficiency without making the system unnecessarily complicated.
