Job Summary FAMA is seeking an experienced Office Engineering Lead to lead the company's office engineering functions. The role is responsible for preparing accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, tender documents, and technical reports while ensuring high engineering standards across all projects. The Office Engineering Lead will supervise the Office Engineering team, review technical documents, support project planning, and work closely with Project Managers, Procurement, and Technical Operations to ensure every project is technically accurate and commercially competitive. Key Responsibilities • Prepare detailed BOQs from drawings, specifications, and project requirements. • Develop accurate cost estimates and rate analysis for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors. • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents. • Prepare technical and commercial documents for government and private tenders. • Coordinate with the procurement team to obtain updated material prices and supplier quotations. • Review and approve BOQs, estimates, and technical documents prepared by Office Engineers. • Lead and mentor the Office Engineering team to improve technical quality and productivity. • Develop and improve BOQ templates, estimation systems, and office engineering procedures. • Support Project Managers during project planning, budgeting, and execution. • Prepare variation orders, revised BOQs, and project cost updates. • Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality. • Coordinate with design, site, procurement, and finance teams to ensure smooth project delivery. • Ensure all engineering documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time. Qualifications & Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. • Minimum 4 years of experience in Office Engineering, BOQ preparation, estimation, or tendering. • Strong experience preparing BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender documents. • Excellent understanding of construction drawings and technical specifications. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD. • Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple tenders and projects under tight deadlines.
