Summary: We’re looking for an oil operator, with 2 to 3 years experiences in the downstream market. Previous experience working for Ethiopian Oil Marketing Companies is an asset. Working under direct supervision, the operator will be assisting with the daily monitoring, control, transfer and reporting of petroleum products. This role directly coordinates logistics across three critical operations segments: managing vessel product discharge at the marine terminal, operating terminal storage systems, and overseeing product loading into tanker trucks, products allocation to off takers into final depot distribution. Key Responsibilities: · Assist in product receiving, transfer, loading, and offloading operations · Monitor tank levels and product movement; maintain accurate records · Follow HSSE rules; report hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions · Complete daily logs, meter readings, and operational documentation · Assist with product sampling and basic quality checks · Communicate effectively with supervisors and terminal staff · Perform additional duties as assigned by management · Audit custody transfer meters at the load rack, cross-check with off taker allocation for accuracy · Generate detailed monitoring reports, non-conformance notices, time logs, and letters of protest if quantity or quality deviations occur during discharge, loading or transit to the depot Qualification and Skills · Bachelor’s degree in transport and logistics, engineering · Data analysis, Database software, and technical understanding of petroleum products · Strong interpersonal, and communication skills · Excellent oral and written communication skills · Time management skills · Problem solving skills Experience · Minimum 2 to 3 years experiences as an operator or in transport and logistics of petroleum products, ideally working with existing Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) Field of Study · Bachelor’s degree in transport and logistics, engineering or any other relevant field
