Job Review: To supervise and coordinate outbound mail operations, ensuring the timely, secure, and compliant handling, sorting, and dispatch of mail and packages via air transportation. Key Responsibilities: · Oversee day-to-day outbound mail operations, including sorting, scanning, loading, and dispatching mail. · Train, guide, and support mail handling staff to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety standards. · Maintain accurate records of shipments, dispatch logs, and any delays or issues. · Ensure quality control in mail handling to prevent loss or damage. · Investigate and resolve operational issues or irregularities. · Sort and prepare mail and parcels for outbound air shipment. · Ensure items are correctly labelled, scanned, and loaded according to flight schedules. · Assist with loading and unloading mail containers and handling equipment. · Maintain cleanliness and organization of outbound mail areas. · Report damaged or improperly packed items to supervisors. · Coordinate with team members and airport staff to ensure timely dispatch. · Follow all safety protocols and security procedures for handling outbound cargo. · Support data entry and documentation tasks as required. Qualification: · Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related field with 5-6 years’ experience on related positions · Good communication and coordination skills · Basic computer skills (MS Office) · Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks Key Areas of Experience Required: · Logistics-related exposure in last-mile courier, transport, supply chain, or forwarding companies. · Familiarity with the Ethiopian logistics ecosystem. · Willingness to work extra hours or on shifts. · Experience in dispatching trucks or managing a fleet of vehicles. · GPS and fleet management experience. · Strong operational mindset with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
