Key Responsibilities: • Process monthly payroll accurately and on time. • Calculate salaries and deductions. • Maintain payroll records and employee compensation data. • Verify attendance, leave records, and timesheets before payroll processing. • Prepare and distribute pay slips. • Calculate and withhold employee income taxes and other statutory deductions. • Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities. • Reconcile payroll accounts and tax liabilities. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports. • Assist in year-end reporting and tax documentation. • Maintain accurate records for internal and external audits. • Explain payroll calculations and tax-related matters to employees.
