Personal Male Caregiver (Elderly Care) Position: Male Caregiver (Full-Time) Work Location: Ayer Tena, Addis Ababa Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Male Caregiver to provide one-on-one care for an elderly individual. The ideal candidate should be physically capable, patient, trustworthy, and committed to ensuring the comfort, safety, and dignity of the patient. Key Responsibilities • Provide daily personal care and assistance to one elderly patient. • Safely assist the patient with mobility and transfers, including: • Bed to wheelchair • Wheelchair to bed • Wheelchair to vehicle and vice versa • Accompany the patient to hospitals, medical appointments, and other necessary visits. • Assist with feeding, hydration, and other daily living activities as required. • Monitor the patient's general condition and promptly report any concerns to the family. • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the patient's immediate environment. • Administer medications as instructed by family members or healthcare professionals. • Preference will be given to candidates with basic knowledge or experience in administering insulin injections and monitoring diabetic patients. • Provide emotional support, companionship, and respectful care while maintaining the patient's dignity at all times. Qualifications & Requirements • Male candidate. • Adult (18 years or older). • Previous experience caring for elderly individuals is required. • Demonstrated experience handling wheelchairs and safely transferring patients between bed, wheelchair, and vehicle. • Basic first aid knowledge is an advantage. • Experience with insulin injections and diabetic patient care is preferred. • Physically fit and able to assist with patient mobility. • Honest, dependable, and punctual. • Must possess a caring, compassionate, and patient personality, especially when working with elderly individuals.
