Electra Elite Trading PLC is seeking a motivated and technically competent Sales Engineer to promote and sell electrical cables, wires, and related electrical solutions. The successful candidate will identify business opportunities, build strong client relationships, prepare technical and commercial proposals, and provide customers with the best product solutions for their projects. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities in construction, industrial, infrastructure, utility, and commercial projects. Promote and sell LV, MV, control, instrumentation, and specialty cables and other electrical products. Meet contractors, consultants, MEP contractors, EPC companies, real estate developers, factories, utilities, and government organizations. Review BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents to recommend suitable products. Prepare quotations, technical offers, and commercial proposals. Provide technical guidance on cable selection, standards, and applications. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely quotations and deliveries. Negotiate prices and commercial terms while maintaining company profitability. Follow up quotations and convert opportunities into confirmed orders. Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and provide excellent after-sales support. Conduct market research, monitor competitors, and identify new project opportunities. Prepare weekly sales reports, customer visit reports, and sales forecasts. Represent the company during technical meetings, presentations, and exhibitions. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, electrical engineering, or the electrical products industry. Strong understanding of electrical power cables, wires, cable accessories, switchgear, and electrical distribution systems. Ability to interpret electrical drawings, BOQs, specifications, and single-line diagrams. Knowledge of IEC standards and cable selection principles is an advantage. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Strong customer relationship management and business development abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software is an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and achieve sales targets. Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits and project follow-up. Valid Ethiopian driving license is an added advantage. High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer focus. Preferred Experience Experience working with electrical contractors, consultants, utilities, or EPC companies. Knowledge of public procurement procedures and tender documentation. Experience in preparing technical submittals and product presentations. Existing professional network within the Ethiopian construction and electrical industry is highly desirable. Performance Indicators (KPIs) Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets. Number of new customers acquired. Quotation-to-order conversion rate. Customer retention and satisfaction. Revenue and gross profit generated. Number of consultant, contractor, and project visits completed each month.
