At-Con Engineering & Architecture Consultancy Plc. is seeking qualified Professionals with expertise to join our dynamic team. In the following position At-Con Engineering & Architecture Consultancy Plc. , a well-established and reputable consulting company based in Addis Ababa, is engaged in the design and supervision of civil engineering works , including roads, bridges, buildings, water supply systems, and other infrastructure projects. We are seeking qualified and experienced Resident Engineer to lead and manage construction supervision activities on-site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the project is executed according to design, specifications, quality standards, and contract requirements Key Responsibilities: • Review drawings for constructability, site compatibility, and compliance with specifications and contracts • Recommend design and contract modifications to suit site and local conditions • Maintain up-to-date drawings and contract document records • Check, certify, and submit surveying data for approval • Maintain daily site records and photographic progress documentation • Prepare and submit monthly and weekly progress reports • Coordinate site visits by design and contract department staff • Issue Field Instructions and Change Notices in coordination with head office • Review and certify contractor work programs and proposed key personnel • Monitor construction sequence, progress, and schedule compliance • Review, certify, and document contractor payment applications • Verify and include approved materials on site in progress payments where applicable • Maintain auditable financial and payment records • Manage and archive all project correspondence and records systematically • Handle routine site correspondence and escalate critical issues for engineer approval • Reject non-conforming work and materials and enforce corrective actions • Monitor contractor compliance with health and safety requirements • Maintain daily communication with head office staff • Supervise and evaluate site supervisors’ performance • Follow up on material approvals and quality test submittals • Advise contractors on improvements in methods, safety, quality, and progress • Identify project risks and opportunities and implement mitigation measures • Approve work permits and inspection certificates with proper documentation • Evaluate time and financial claims and forward for engineer approval • Manage contract changes and ensure proper filing and notification • Address public body issues and coordinate resolutions with the engineer • Monitor validity and renewal of contract securities • Review shop drawings and work methodologies Place of Assignment : • Wolaita Sodo Location: Wolaita Sodo Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Required: Minimum 6 (Six) Years in a Consulting Role Salary: Negotiable Application Deadline: July 15, 2026 G.C
