The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, leading the sales team, developing new business opportunities, improving lead conversion, and ensuring effective coordination between sales, design, production, delivery, and installation. This role requires hands-on sales experience in woodworks, furniture, interior finishing, construction materials, real estate project sales, or a closely related industry . General sales experience alone is not sufficient. The ideal candidate must understand customized products such as kitchens, wardrobes, doors, office furniture, and other woodwork solutions, including customer requirements, measurements, pricing, timelines, and installation. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. • Lead, coach, and monitor the sales team to maximize performance. • Develop business across residential, real estate, construction, corporate, hospitality, institutional, government, and referral markets. • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and strategic clients. • Personally support major negotiations and close high-value opportunities. Lead & Customer Management • Ensure all leads from showrooms, referrals, social media, websites, phone calls, and site visits are properly tracked and followed up. • Improve lead-to-order conversion through timely communication, effective product presentation, and disciplined sales follow-up. • Advise customers on product selection, materials, finishes, pricing, production timelines, and installation requirements. Sales Operations • Oversee quotation preparation, pricing accuracy, discount control, negotiations, and quotation follow-up. • Coordinate closely with design, production, and installation teams to ensure customer expectations align with operational capabilities. • Minimize unrealistic sales commitments and ensure smooth project execution. Market & Customer Insights • Monitor competitors, market trends, customer preferences, pricing, and new business opportunities. • Ensure customer complaints and after-sales issues are addressed promptly and translated into continuous improvement. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Performance will be measured based on: • Sales target achievement • Lead-to-quotation and quotation-to-order conversion rates • Sales growth by product, project, and customer segment • New business development • Sales team productivity • Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution • Accuracy and timeliness of sales reporting • CRM/sales system utilization • Effective coordination with production and delivery teams Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. • Minimum 7 years of sales experience, including 3 years in a sales leadership role. • Mandatory experience in furniture, woodworks, interior finishing, construction materials, building materials, home improvement products, real estate project sales, or a related industry. • Proven experience managing sales teams, achieving targets, project sales, customer negotiations, and relationship-based selling. • Experience with CRM, ERP, or sales management systems is an advantage. Required Skills • Strong knowledge of the furniture, woodwork, or construction industry. • Proven sales leadership and closing skills. • Excellent customer relationship, negotiation, and communication abilities. • Good understanding of technical products, pricing, and project coordination. • Strong planning, reporting, and follow-up discipline. • Commercial awareness, problem-solving ability, integrity, accountability, and a results-driven mindset.
