A Senior Accountant manages a company's day-to-day financial operations . They handle the general ledger (the main record of all financial data), prepare financial statements (official reports on money spent and earned), and make sure tax and legal records are accurate. • Reconciliations: Match bank, credit card, and vendor statements to the company's records to catch errors. • Month-end & Year-end Close: Review all account balances and adjust entries to officially close out the financial period. • Financial Reporting: Create reports that show the company's financial health to management or company leaders. • Budgeting: Help create budgets and track actual spending against what was planned. • Audits and Taxes: Help gather documents for outside auditors and compute taxes
