URGENT position Senior Accountant , Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, On-site Full-time Permanent Accounting & Finance, Bachelor's Degree Application Deadline: June 28, 2024 About the Role Tedla Ambulance Service is seeking an experienced and detail oriented Senior Accountant to manage the company's financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic financial decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Manage all financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledger records • Prepare financial reports, budgets, statements, and forecasts • Provide management with financial analyses and actionable insights • Conduct risk analysis and financial planning • Administer payroll and ensure timely bank payments • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual account closings • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns in compliance with taxation legislation • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements • Develop and enforce financial system policies and data confidentiality protocols • Serve as internal auditor for financial transactions and documents • Perform database backups and ensure financial data security • Carry out any additional duties assigned by a supervisor Qualifications & Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or a related field • Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role • Strong knowledge of ERCA Online System; Monthly Online Declaration of Pension, income tax and withhold. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, auditing, taxation, cost accounting, and business law • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree) and Microsoft Excel • Experience in Annual closing and monthly reconciliation.
