Key Responsibilities • Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults in electric vehicles. • Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing on EVs. • Conduct high-voltage system inspections, repairs, and battery diagnostics safely. • Use manufacturer diagnostic software and specialized tools to identify and resolve technical issues. • Repair or replace batteries, electric motors, inverters, charging systems, and other EV components. • Perform software updates, system calibrations, and vehicle programming when required. • Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations. • Test vehicles after repairs to verify proper operation and quality standards. • Document repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance activities accurately. • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians. • Support service advisors and communicate technical findings when necessary. • Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and a clean, safe working environment. • Stay up to date with new EV technologies, service procedures, and technical training. Required Skills • Strong knowledge of electric vehicle systems and high-voltage safety procedures. • Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. • Proficiency with manufacturer diagnostic equipment and software. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. • Strong leadership, teamwork, and mentoring skills. • Good communication and documentation skills. • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Qualifications • Diploma or degree in Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. • Certification in electric vehicle or high-voltage systems is preferred. • Several years of experience in automotive service, with significant experience working on electric vehicles.
