JOB TITLE: Senior finance officer JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior finance officer to join our finance team in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full accounting cycle from transaction coding and recording to the preparation of accurate financial statements and management reports. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on experience in manufacturing finance operations, and the ability to ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting financial decision-making and improving financial efficiency within the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Oversee the full accounting cycle, including transaction coding, journal entries, posting, and reconciliations • Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow management • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements • Ensure accurate cost accounting and tracking of manufacturing expenses (production cost, raw materials, overhead, etc.) • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes • Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate and timely entries • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policies • Prepare and submit tax returns and regulatory reports on time • Support internal and external audits by providing required financial data and documentation • Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis with recommendations • Develop and strengthen internal financial controls and accounting procedures • Work closely with operations, procurement, and production teams to ensure accurate cost tracking • Continuously improve accounting systems, processes, and reporting efficiency REQUIREMENTS Academic Qualification • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields Experience • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience, related experience in manufacturing or industrial sector accounting is highly preferred Technical Skills and Core Competencies • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations • Experience with accounting software (Peachtree, QuickBooks, ERP systems preferred) • Strong understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing finance • Ability to handle full-cycle accounting independently • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • High attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Strong communication skills with ability to present financial data to non-finance teams • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Strong integrity and accountability ADDITIONAL INFORMATION • Work Location : Bole Lemi Industrial Park (transport service provided by the company) • Salary: 60,000-65,000(Gross)-Negotiable.
