Position: Senior HR & Admin Officer Reports to: General Manager Job Summary Green Scene Energy PLC is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior HR & Admin Officer to manage the company's human resources and administrative functions. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Ethiopian labour laws, support talent acquisition and employee development, oversee office administration, and contribute to building a positive, high-performing workplace. Key Responsibilities Human Resources • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job advertising, candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, and onboarding. • Prepare and maintain employment contracts, personnel files, and HR records. • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian Labour Proclamation and company policies. • Support employee relations by handling inquiries, grievances, disciplinary processes, and performance management. • Coordinate employee training, learning, and development activities. • Administer attendance, leave records, payroll inputs, benefits, and employee documentation. • Maintain HR policies, employee handbook, and related procedures. • Prepare HR reports and workforce metrics. • Manage employee separation processes, including exit interviews and final documentation. • Promote employee engagement and a positive workplace culture. Administration (approximately 40% of time) • Oversee daily office administration and ensure an efficient working environment. • Manage office supplies, equipment, and facility maintenance. • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and external stakeholders. • Prepare official correspondence, reports, and company communications in English and Amharic. • Organize company records, filing systems, and confidential documents. • Provide administrative support to the Operations Manager and management team. • Arrange meetings, travel, logistics, and company events. • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements. Qualifications and experience • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field. • Minimum 5 years of relevant HR and Administration experience, preferably in the private sector. • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian Labour Proclamation and HR best practices. • Experience in recruitment, performance management, employee relations, payroll administration, and office management. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace. • Experience using HRIS or payroll software is an advantage. • Excellent written and spoken English and Amharic. • Experience in the renewable energy, engineering, manufacturing, or social enterprise sector is an added advantage.
