About the Role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale reliable software systems. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to turn requirements into robust, maintainable solutions — while also mentoring junior team members and helping shape engineering best practices within the division. What You'll Do • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, high-quality software solutions • Own features end-to-end, from technical design through deployment and monitoring • Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following established coding standards • Participate in architecture and design discussions, providing technical input on system design • Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to peers • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, supporting their technical growth • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and technical debt • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA, DevOps) to deliver on roadmap goals • Contribute to improving engineering processes, tooling, and documentation • Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their relevance to the team's stack What We're Looking For Required: • 3+ years of professional software development experience • Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, C#) • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs • Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Nice to Have: • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) • Experience with microservices architecture • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies • Prior experience mentoring or leading a small team • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) What We Offer • Competitive salary and benefits package • Industry-recognized certifications from Oracle, Dell, IBM, and other leading technology providers • Opportunities for professional growth and technical leadership • A collaborative, learning-oriented engineering culture within a growing Software, AI & Cybersecurity Division • Flexible working arrangements • Health Insurance Package How to Apply Interested applicants who can meet the above minimum requirements can submit their application, CVs and non-returnable photocopies of their credentials in person or send through Email within 7 (seven) calendar days of this announcement in Reporter News Paper.
