· Develops programs and procedures targeted at reducing occupational health risks; · Plans, directs, and manages the company industrial hygiene program; · Investigate accidents to identify causes and determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future; · Recommends measures to help protect workers from potential hazards · Develops or maintains hygiene programs, such as noise surveys, continuous atmosphere monitoring, or ventilation survey; · Inspects and evaluates the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards; · Develops and implements guidance to protect the employees, customers and the environment; · Identifies potentially hazardous biological, chemical and radiological materials and collect samples of them for analysis. · Leads the development safety &environment policies and procedures; · Develops and implements the department’s strategic and operational plans; · Implements and follows up a safety strategy for the Company and reviews related regulations; · Supports the development of subordinates through periodic performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, ongoing performance dialogue and feedback; · Recommends changes to protect workers and educate employees on how to prevent health problems using safety training programs; · Investigates accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future; · Establishes general health/environment/safety directions; · Monitors the ongoing effectiveness of the Company’s health, safety and environment program; · Performs safety inspections and audit to monitor environment and safety compliance; · Identifies workplace hazards and hazardous materials and facilitate situations to educate employees with workplace hazard information. · Assigns specific site and coordinators for proper disposal of all waste materials; · Determines the types and categories of waste generated within the Company that requires special handling or labelling; · Conducts periodic reviews of waste disposal practices to assess compliance with regulatory or industry standards; · Establishes and develops relationships with all departments that have an influence on the operations of the company; · Develops and monitors implementation of the department’s budgets; · Identifies human resources requirements of the department and develops plan for meeting the requirements; · Represents the Company in external relationships related as required; · Participates in the group decision-making processes by forming part of different groups/committees; · Prepares and submits periodic department reports to the DSHEQ; · Performs other activities as assigned by the DSHEQ.
