The Site Logistics Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all logistics activities at the construction site to ensure the timely and efficient movement of materials, equipment, vehicles, and personnel. The role supports uninterrupted project operations while maintaining safety, cost efficiency, and compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities Material Management Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of construction materials. Ensure materials are delivered to the correct work areas on time. Monitor material consumption and report shortages. Maintain accurate inventory and stock records. Coordinate with the procurement team regarding material requirements. Equipment & Vehicle Coordination Schedule and coordinate the use of construction equipment and vehicles. Monitor equipment utilization and availability. Coordinate equipment mobilization and demobilization. Ensure vehicles and equipment are serviced and maintained according to schedule. Transportation Management Arrange transportation for materials, machinery, and personnel. Optimize delivery schedules to minimize delays and transportation costs. Coordinate with suppliers and transport providers. Monitor delivery performance and resolve transportation issues. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Transport Management, or a related field. Experience one year of experience in logistics, preferably in the construction industry. Experience managing site logistics operations is preferred. Required Skills Knowledge of construction logistics and material management. Inventory and warehouse management skills. Transportation planning and coordination. Strong organizational and planning skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with ERP systems is an advantage. Working Conditions Primarily based at construction project sites. Frequent movement around the site. May require extended working hours, weekends, or holidays based on project requirements. Exposure to outdoor construction environments.
