Social Media Content Creator — Freelance Location: Bisrate Gebrel, Addis Ababa Position: Freelance Social Media Content Creator Work Arrangement: Freelance / Part-time project-based Office Attendance: Only 1–2 times per month for scheduled video recording sessions Compensation: Negotiable About the Role Only 1–2 office visits per month! We are looking for a young, friendly, confident, and camera-friendly Social Media Content Creator to appear in short-form videos for our travel and education company. The role is simple: you show up, get in front of the camera, and bring the videos to life. Our team will handle the content ideas, scripts, filming, editing, and social media management. You will typically record 10–20 short videos during each monthly recording session , covering topics related to studying and traveling abroad. What You'll Do • Appear on camera in short-form social media videos. • Deliver our content naturally and confidently. • Act out funny, educational, and promotional scenarios. • Present information in an engaging and relatable way. • Help create a friendly and approachable personality for our brand. • Attend scheduled filming sessions at our office 1–2 times per month . Types of Content Our videos will primarily target Ethiopian students interested in studying or traveling abroad , including: • Educational and informational videos • Study-abroad and travel advice • Funny and entertaining content • Company promotional videos • Relatable student-focused content The content will primarily be in Amharic , with some English words and phrases where appropriate. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: • Is comfortable and confident in front of a camera . • Has a friendly, energetic, and approachable personality. • Can naturally express emotions and reactions on camera. • Enjoys social media and understands short-form content. • Can follow scripts while still sounding natural. • Is reliable and punctual for scheduled filming sessions. • Has previous experience creating or appearing in social media content (preferred, but not required) . • Is comfortable acting out funny or creative scenarios. You do not need professional filming equipment. We will provide the camera/phone, microphone, lighting, and other equipment required for filming. Important: This Is Not a Full-Time Office Job This position does not require you to work at our office every day. You will generally be required to come to our office only 1–2 times per month for scheduled filming sessions. During each session, we aim to record approximately 10–20 short videos . All other aspects of content production—including content planning, scripting, filming, editing, and posting—will be handled by our team. Compensation Negotiable , based on experience and suitability for the role.
