Video Editor for Movie Recap Channel (Long-Term)
Scraped from: Afriworket
We're hiring 2 Video Editors to join our team long-term, editing Korean and Chinese movie recaps. About the role You'll take a full-length Korean or Chinese film and shape it into a clean, well-paced 30-minute recap, synced precisely to a provided Amharic voiceover. The goal: keep the viewer hooked from the first second to the last. This isn't a one-off gig. We're building a small, committed team for the long run — editors who take pride in the craft, grow with us, and earn more as the channels grow. What you'll do • Condense a full-length film into a tight 30-minute recap • Sync your edit precisely to a provided voiceover track • Apply pacing, sound design, and transitions that keep retention high • Deliver finished, upload-ready videos on schedule What we expect • A feel for pacing and audience retention — keeping viewers glued without burning them out • Strategic audio/visual timing — not blindly snapping clips to nonstop voiceover • Smooth, cinematic transitions — never amateur, dizzying, or overly flashy • Sound design that matches music and effects to each scene, not one track over the whole film Requirements • Proven editing skill — this role lives or dies on your ability to condense a full film into 30 minutes • Previous work / portfolio required — applications without samples won't be considered • Any editing software is fine (CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci, etc.) The deal • Starting pay: 500 birr per finished 30-minute video, increasing based on your work • Paid twice a month • One video every 2 days • You receive the movie link (YouTube) and the voiceover; you deliver via Google Drive How to apply Message us that you're interested. We'll send you the full vacancy with screening questions — answer them and send your replies to our Telegram, @Alemcinemaa (t.me/Alemcinemaa).
