Fleet Operations & Performance Supervisor – Motorbike/Scooter Company: Melke - Yango by Melke Location: Addis Ababa Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary Melke /Yango By Melke/ is looking for a highly disciplined, analytical, and field-oriented Fleet Operations & Performance Supervisor to manage and improve the day-to-day performance of our motorbike/scooter delivery operation. We are looking for someone who does more than supervise riders. The successful candidate must be able to understand operational data, identify performance gaps, make decisions, take corrective action, and drive results in the field. Candidates with experience in Area Sales Management, FMCG field operations, distribution, logistics, fleet management, or last-mile delivery are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities • Supervise the overall daily operation and performance of the motorbike/scooter fleet. • Monitor rider attendance, productivity, delivery performance, cancellations, compliance, and overall utilization. • Review daily reports from the Scooter Operations Controller and Call Center/Performance Support team. • Analyze rider and fleet performance data and translate findings into corrective actions. • Set and follow up daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets. • Identify low-performing riders, investigate root causes, and implement performance improvement actions. • Conduct regular and surprise field/route visits to verify execution and rider performance. • Identify and recommend high-potential delivery areas, restaurant clusters, commercial areas, and other delivery hotspots. • Monitor scooter availability, condition, breakdowns, battery charging, maintenance requirements, and downtime. • Ensure riders comply with uniform, helmet, safety gear, and operational standards. • Monitor delivery-related financial information, including rider deposits, outstanding amounts, company bonuses, and discrepancies. • Investigate operational and financial discrepancies and ensure timely closure. • Coordinate technical/system issues affecting rider productivity. • Develop rider performance rankings and recommend recognition, coaching, warning, or corrective action where necessary. • Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend practical solutions to management. • Prepare concise daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports. • Ensure company scooters and other assigned assets are properly controlled and protected. • Take ownership of fleet productivity, discipline, compliance, and continuous operational improvement. Key Performance Indicators Performance will be measured against areas including: • Delivery target achievement • Average deliveries per rider • Active rider and fleet utilization • Rider attendance • Cancellation rate • Scooter availability and downtime • Deposit and financial reconciliation • Safety and uniform compliance • Field execution • Rider performance improvement • Identification and development of productive delivery areas
