Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Flight Operations Coordinator (Ramp Agent) to coordinate daily flight operations, ensure seamless service delivery and provide exceptional client support in a dynamic, fast-paced aviation environment. The agent will also be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and timely handling of aircraft ground operations (turnaround. Operating on the airport ramp, the Ramp Agent manages baggage loading and unloading, marshaling aircraft, operating specialized Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and performing crucial under wing aircraft services. This role is vital to maintaining airline schedules and ensuring the highest standards of aviation safety Key Responsibilities o Plan, coordinate, and execute daily flight operations, including flight planning, overflight and landing permits, airport slots, ground handling arrangements, fuel coordination, catering, hotel accommodations, and crew transportation. o Place safety chocks and traffic cones around the aircraft upon arrival. o Operate pushback tractors to push aircraft away from the gate for departure. o Communicate last-minute changes (such as offloaded bags or late cargo additions) immediately to the flight deck and load control center to recalculate stability data prior to departure. o Load, stow, and unload passenger luggage, mail, and airfreight cargo securely and efficiently into and out of aircraft cargo compartments. o Sort and transfer luggage to baggage carousels or connecting flights. o Operate various types of heavy ground equipment, including belt loaders, tugs, baggage carts, fuel trucks, and jet bridges. o Perform pre- and post-operational safety checks on equipment, reporting any defects immediately. o Service aircraft lavatories and replenish potable water systems. o Assist with basic cabin grooming/cleaning and restocking supplies between flights if required. o Strictly adhere to all airport authority, airline, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. o Maintain constant communication with flight deck crews, lead agents, and operations control via radio headsets. o Identify and report safety hazards or security breaches immediately through the company's Safety Management System (SMS). o Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries, requests, complaints, and urgent needs while clearly communicating AirEx Aviation’s full range of services. o Ensure full compliance with Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) regulations, ICAO standards, international aviation requirements, and company policies. Qualifications and Requirements · Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. · Licensing: Must possess a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record to operate airport vehicles. · Clearances: Must pass a comprehensive background check, fingerprinting, criminal history records check or any other screenings as required by aviation authorities.
