Job Title: Store Keeper Company: BVFC PLC Location: Bishoftu, Oromiya Employment Type: Full-time Salary: Negotiable Application Deadline : Aug 30/2026 Required Person: 2 About the Job BVFC is looking an experienced store keeper who are responsible for managing all aspects of inventory control, warehouse operations, to ensure efficient stock management. The main duties of store keeper include receiving and inspecting incoming goods, maintaining accurate inventory records using management software, conducting regular stock counts, and preparing orders for shipment. Store keeper also expected to monitor stock levels to trigger timely reordering. Key responsibility of store keeper 1) Inventory Management: Storekeepers are responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels. This includes tracking stock levels, ordering new supplies, and conducting regular audits to ensure that the physical inventory matches the records. 2) Ordering and Receiving: They place orders for new stock, and ensure that deliveries are accurate and on time. This involves checking shipments for damaged or defective goods and processing returns when necessary. 3) Organization: Storekeepers are responsible for organizing and maintaining a neat and efficient storage system. This includes arranging products in a logical order, labeling items, and ensuring that products are easily accessible. 4) Quality Control: inspecting goods to ensure they meet quality standards. This could involve checking for defects, damage, or expiration dates, depending on the type of products being handled. 5) Documentation: Keeping detailed records of all transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns, is crucial. This documentation helps in tracking inventory levels accurately and is essential for financial and auditing purposes. 6) Security: Storekeepers are responsible for implementing security measures to protect the inventory from theft or damage. This could involve using security tags, surveillance systems, or other preventive measures. 7) Communication: Storekeepers may need to communicate with other departments, management, and suppliers to ensure a smooth flow of goods and information. Requirments Ø Educational Background: BA degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Accounting, or Management. Ø Work Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or store keeping. Technical Skills Ø Computer Literacy: Proficiency in basic software, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and inventory/ERP tracking systems. Ø Record Keeping: Strong bookkeeping skills to manage stock cards, Goods Receiving Notes (GRN), and Goods Issue Vouchers (GIV). Ø Inventory Knowledge: Understanding of stock control methods like FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and periodic auditing.
