Job Description Job Title: Junior HR and Admin About the Company We are a growing FMCG distribution and B2B supply chain company in Ethiopia, supporting small retailers through reliable product supply, transparent pricing, warehousing, last-mile delivery, and financial solutions, including BNPL. As we expand across regions, we are strengthening our team, operational efficiency, and workplace governance. Job Summary We are seeking a Junior HR and Admin to support daily human resources, team performance driving, and administrative operations in a growing FMCG distribution business in Ethiopia. The role focuses on maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, coordinating office administration, driving team performance and engagement, and ensuring compliance with local labor regulations and company policies. This position plays a key role in supporting smooth daily operations and creating a productive, high-performing work environment. Key Responsibilities Team Performance Driving • Assist in tracking performance metrics, KPIs, and appraisal schedules across departments • Monitor team engagement and collaborate with team leads to resolve daily productivity bottlenecks • Organize performance feedback loops and track improvement plans for staff • Coordinate internal training sessions, team-building activities, and motivational initiatives to drive morale Personnel & HR Operations • Maintain and update organized physical and digital employee personnel files and databases • Track employee attendance, leave balances, overtime hours, and absence records • Prepare monthly HR inputs for payroll processing (attendance, leave, new hires, terminations) • Assist in drafting employment contracts, warning letters, and official HR correspondence Recruitment & Onboarding • Post job openings on relevant platforms and screen incoming applications • Schedule interview sessions with hiring managers and coordinate applicant communications • Organize onboarding schedules and orientation packages for new hires • Ensure all required pre-employment documentation and background checks are collected Office & Administrative Management • Manage daily office administrative tasks, front-desk inquiries, and incoming/outgoing mail • Monitor and maintain inventory for office supplies, stationery, and cleaning items • Coordinate office maintenance, utility payments, and facility repairs as needed • Support logistics and administrative arrangements for company events, travel, and meetings Labor Compliance & Workplace Policy • Support compliance with Ethiopian labor law and company internal policies • Serve as a reliable first point of contact for routine employee inquiries and workplace requests • Assist with the preparation and renewal of staff work badges, medical insurance, or safety gear • Maintain strictly confidential treatment of all personal data and employee records Qualifications • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field • 1–3 years of HR and office administration experience (FMCG/distribution preferred) • Basic knowledge of Ethiopian labor law, HR best practices, and administrative procedures • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with HR management systems/tools Key Skills • Team performance driving and employee motivation • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping accuracy • Good organizational and time-management skills • Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities • Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain high levels of confidentiality Compensation • Net Salary: negotiable based on experience
