JOB VACANCY: INTERIOR ARCHITECT / DESIGNER Company: Dubai Furniture Work Address: Addis Ababa, Jackros (TOP URGENT HIRING ) Employment Type: Full-Time About Us Dubai Furniture is a prominent furniture manufacturer, retailer, and supplier based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We specialize in providing high-quality, modern interior solutions across residential, office, and hotel/hospitality sectors. We are seeking an experienced and innovative senior Design to lead our Furniture Design Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the product design process, leading the design team, developing new furniture products, improving existing designs, and ensuring all designs meet customer requirements, production capabilities, quality standards, and cost objectives. Key Responsibilities • Concept & Vision: Develop innovative design concepts, mood boards, and thematic presentations that align with client visions and transform spaces into compelling narratives. • Technical Design: Create tailored space plans, concept visuals, technical drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections), and high-quality 3D renders. • Material Specification: Specify materials, finishes, lighting, furniture, and fixtures while balancing aesthetics, sustainability, building regulations, and project budgets. • Project Management: Manage project timelines, documentation, and compliance from initial concept through completion. • Industry Standards: Stay current with evolving industry trends, innovative materials, sustainable practices, and emerging technologies to continuously elevate project outcomes. Qualifications & Requirements • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a related design field. • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in interior architecture or interior design. • Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Enscape , D5 Render , or Lumion (alongside standard CAD/modeling software). • Technical Skills: Strong background in space planning, detailing, material specification, budgeting, and scheduling. • Speed & Efficiency: Proven ability to turn around one complete project within 3 days without compromising quality. • Soft Skills: Excellent verbal/visual communication, multitasking ability, and strong problem-solving skills under tight deadlines. Portfolio Requirement (Mandatory) To be considered for this role, applicants must submit a portfolio showcasing diverse projects across residential, commercial, hospitality, or institutional interiors.
