Truck Dispatcher Main Role and Responsibilities We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Truck Dispatcher to coordinate daily transportation operations and ensure the timely movement of freight. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with drivers, brokers, and customers while maximizing equipment utilization and maintaining exceptional service. Responsibilities: Dispatch and coordinate drivers for scheduled pickups and deliveries. Book and negotiate freight with brokers. Monitor shipments and provide timely updates to customers and brokers. Communicate with drivers regarding appointments, delays, and route changes. Resolve transportation issues such as delays, breakdowns, and scheduling conflicts. Maintain accurate records of loads, rate confirmations, and dispatch documentation. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, customers, and drivers. Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations. Required Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
