Position: Retail Operations Manager Department: Retail Operations Location: Corporate Head Office / Operational Sites Employment Type: Full-Time Responsibilities • Manage daily operational activities of all duty-free retail outlets. • Oversee inventory management (receiving, storage, replenishment, transfers, and stock accuracy). • Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and inventory turnover to avoid shortages and losses. • Coordinate product ordering with procurement and logistics teams. • Enforce operational policies, procedures, and duty-free compliance. • Supervise, coach, and evaluate shop personnel; manage staff schedules and shifts. • Monitor sales performance and take corrective actions. • Ensure high standards of customer service. • Coordinate warehouse operations and inventory flow. • Analyze sales and operational data; prepare reports for management. • Investigate discrepancies, stock variances, and customer complaints. • Handle proper storage and display of merchandise (liquor, tobacco, perfume, cosmetics, etc.). • Collaborate with finance, procurement, logistics, warehouse, and HR teams. • Safeguard company assets and perform other assigned duties. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related field (Master’s is an advantage). • Experience: Minimum 6–8 years in retail operations management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role. • Preferred: Experience in duty-free, airport retail, FMCG, or large-scale retail. • Skills: Strong knowledge of inventory management, customs regulations, and retail operations. Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel). Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities. • Language: Full professional fluency in English (mandatory); Amharic is a plus.
