WALTA TECHNOLOGIES PLC JOB VACANCY — SCRIPT WRITER Position: Script Writer Company: Walta Technologies PLC Employment Type: Permanent / Full-Time Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia About the Role Walta Technologies PLC is looking for a creative, experienced, and digitally savvy Script Writer who can develop compelling scripts for multiple social media platforms and use AI tools effectively to improve creativity, research, productivity, and content quality . Key Responsibilities ·       Develop engaging and high-quality scripts for 5+ social media platforms . ·       Create scripts for short-form videos, reels, educational content, promotional videos, storytelling, interviews, and other digital content. ·       Adapt scripts to the unique audience, format, tone, and requirements of different platforms. ·       Use AI tools effectively for ideation, research, content development, refinement, and script optimization. ·       Work closely with the Content, Marketing, Video Production, and Social Media teams. ·       Develop strong hooks, storytelling structures, calls-to-action, and audience-retention techniques. ·       Research trends, topics, audiences, and competitors to develop relevant content. ·       Continuously improve scripts based on audience engagement and content performance. Requirements ·       Proven professional experience in Script Writing or a related content-creation role . ·       Demonstrated ability to write scripts for multiple social media platforms (5+) . ·       Strong storytelling, creative writing, and communication skills. ·       Excellent understanding of social media content formats and audience behavior. ·       Practical experience using AI tools for script writing and content creation . ·       Ability to produce original, engaging, and audience-focused content under deadlines. ·       Strong research and analytical skills. ·       Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a creative team. Preferred Skills ·       Experience writing scripts for technology, business, education, marketing, or corporate content. ·       Knowledge of video production and short-form video storytelling. ·       Strong understanding of hooks, retention, CTAs, and viral-content principles. ·       Ability to write in multiple tones and styles for different audiences.
