Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer Qualifications • B.Sc . Degree in Civil Engineering. • M.Sc . Roles and Responsibilities Structural Design and Analysis • Lead the structural design and analysis of residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. • Perform advanced structural calculations and develop safe, efficient, and cost-effective structural solutions. • Design reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, and composite structures in compliance with applicable codes and standards. • Conduct analysis for gravity, wind, seismic, and other applicable loading conditions. Project Leadership and Technical Oversight • Manage structural engineering activities throughout all project phases, from concept design to construction completion. • Review and approve structural calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications prepared by junior engineers. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior structural engineers and design staff. • Ensure consistency and quality across all structural deliverables. Design Coordination • Coordinate structural designs with architectural, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines. • Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and project coordination meetings. • Resolve design conflicts and technical issues to ensure project objectives are achieved. Quality Assurance and Code Compliance • Ensure all structural designs comply with local regulations, international standards, and project specifications. • Conduct design reviews, quality checks, and technical audits. • Verify that engineering deliverables meet company quality management procedures. Construction Support and Site Services • Provide engineering support during construction and respond to technical queries from contractors and clients. • Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and structural calculations submitted by contractors. • Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify compliance with approved designs. • Recommend corrective actions for structural deficiencies or construction-related issues. Project Management Support • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for structural engineering activities. • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of structural design deliverables. • Support project managers in managing project risks, budgets, and technical performance. Documentation and Reporting • Prepare and review structural design reports, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation. • Maintain accurate records of design revisions, project correspondence, and engineering decisions. • Prepare technical presentations and reports for clients, authorities, and project stakeholders.
