Job description
The ACT x BCT Project is seeking a qualified, motivated, and experienced Junior Accountant to support the financial management and administration of project activities. The successful candidate will contribute to accurate financial recording, documentation, reporting, budget monitoring, and compliance with project and donor requirements. Key Responsibilities · Maintain accurate and up-to-date project financial records and accounts. · Prepare payment requests, vouchers, receipts, and supporting financial documentation. · Assist in preparation of project budgets, expenditure reports, and financial forecasts. · Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and identify variances. · Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial transactions. · Support preparation of periodic financial reports for project management and partners. · Assist with financial audits and provide required supporting documents. · Ensure compliance with applicable financial policies, procedures, and donor requirements. · Support procurement and payment processes from a financial control perspective. · Perform other accounting and financial management duties assigned by the project management team. Additional/Desirable Criteria Preference will be given to candidates with: · Experience working with WHO or other international development partners . · Knowledge of donor financial management and reporting requirements. · Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel. · Strong skills in financial analysis, budget monitoring, and reconciliation. · High attention to detail and accuracy. · Strong organizational and time-management skills. · Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional integrity. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project team.
