Qualifications MPH in Epidemiology or Biostatistics with health background Data entry Enter data accurately into EpiData or Excel spreadsheets, or other data-management systems. Check data for completeness, consistency, and accuracy. Identify and correct data-entry errors and discrepancies. Maintain data confidentiality and security. Develop and maintain data-entry templates, coding systems, and data dictionaries. Apply skip patterns and validation rules where applicable. Clean and prepare datasets for analysis. Data management Organise and maintain research datasets. Merge and manage data from different sources. Code categorical and open-ended variables. Handle missing, duplicate, and inconsistent data. Perform quality-control checks. Maintain appropriate documentation and version control. Data analysis Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses. Calculate frequencies, percentages, means, medians, and confidence intervals. Produce tables, graphs, and reports. Conduct statistical tests appropriate to the research question. Analyse trends and patterns in health or research data.
